The RS Foundation (RSF) is a Canadian volunteer-driven non-profit social enterprise. It was established in 2007 to invest in humanity by supporting initiatives that provide opportunities for prosperity for the needy, so that they can be empowered to lift themselves out of poverty, improve gender inequality, and create a better future for themselves and their children. At present, our primary focus is in South Asia, a region where a substantial portion of the population lives below the international poverty line and face significant challenges around female illiteracy and child mortality.
Our philosophy is grounded in humanitarianism, a concept deeply-rooted in Canadian tradition. The purpose of true humanitarianism, or humanized social agents, is inextricably linked to empower the powerless and transform those conditions which perpetuate human injustice and inequity.
To achieve our goals, we engage in research and collaborate with existing programs and organizations to help them provide high-quality health, hygiene and educational opportunities with the required critical approach. In so doing, we add value through advisory services and financial support to efficiently facilitate humanitarian projects.
Additionally, we are regularly involved with different types of events and activities to help raise funds for humanitarian projects while fostering awareness locally and encourage strategies towards self and community-building to link donors with beneficiaries.
Private donors cover our operating costs so 100% of all donations is directly used for the humanitarian work we support. Please note that we do not provide tax deductible receipts. However, depending on the project, they can be provided by registered charitable organizations to whom we may have partnered with and/or provided funds to.
